The Future of History Arrives March 7 at the Saratoga Springs History Museum

On March 7, the Saratoga Springs History Museum reopens its doors — and introduces a revolutionary new way to experience the past.

For generations, visitors have walked through the Canfield Casino reading about the figures who shaped Saratoga Springs. Now, they can speak directly with them.

Our new AI Historical Tour Guides allow guests to engage in real-time conversations with digital avatars based on documented historical figures. Through their smartphones — and in select exhibits through portrait-based installations — visitors can ask questions, explore untold stories, and deepen their understanding of the Museum and Saratoga’s remarkable past.

Imagine asking John Morrissey what inspired him to establish the Saratoga Race Course. Or hearing from Frank Leslie about her role in journalism and the women’s suffrage movement.

This initiative represents a bold step forward — blending technology with preservation. The goal isn’t to replace history. It’s to enhance how we connect with it.

By allowing visitors to guide the conversation with their own questions, each experience becomes personal, dynamic, and unforgettable.

We invite you to be among the first to experience this new chapter.

The Museum reopens March 7, Wednesdays to Sundays from 10 am to 4 pm!

History will be waiting to speak with you.
