Every October, the spirits of Saratoga stir. Whispers of the past drift through the streets, shadows linger in the corners of historic buildings, and the air itself seems charged with mystery. This year, you’re invited to climb aboard the Ghosts of Saratoga Trolley Tour—a 90-minute journey into the city’s haunted heart, in collaboration with the Saratoga Springs Visitor Center.
The evening begins at dusk, as the trolley doors open and your guide welcomes you into a world where fact and folklore blur. Winding through Saratoga’s storied streets, you’ll hear chilling tales drawn from the work of legendary ghost hunter David Pitkin and other investigators who have documented paranormal encounters right here in our city. From long-forgotten tragedies to restless spirits that refuse to leave, the stories will leave you glancing over your shoulder as the night unfolds.
But the trolley is only the beginning. Your adventure culminates inside the infamous Canfield Casino, a landmark that has earned its place as one of the most haunted locations in Saratoga. The second floor, accessible only by stairs, has been the site of countless paranormal reports—cold spots, mysterious footsteps, even ghostly figures. Whether you’re a skeptic or a believer, the atmosphere will send a shiver down your spine.
When the Tours Run
The Ghosts of Saratoga Trolley Tour runs for four special evenings only:
October 2, 9, 16, and 23, 2025, each beginning promptly at 7:00 PM and concluding at 8:30 PM.
Seats are limited, and tours sell out quickly every year. Arrive at least 15 minutes early—or risk being left behind with the spirits.
Where to Begin Your Haunted Journey
This year, you have two ways to start your tour:
From the Saratoga Springs Heritage Area Visitor Center at 297 Broadway, or
From the Saratoga Springs History Museum in Congress Park.
